Eleanor Marsh

Eleanor leads the Thicker Thinking newsroom. She began her career on a regional daily in the West Midlands before moving into national health journalism, where she spent over a decade explaining NHS policy, clinical trials and new medicines to general readers. She is a firm believer that good health reporting should leave people calmer and better informed, never more anxious. At Thicker Thinking she oversees the editorial standards and makes sure every story is clear about what the evidence does, and does not, show. Outside work she is a keen open-water swimmer and a reluctant allotment holder.
