Daniel reports on treatments, medicines and the regulators who approve them. Before joining Thicker Thinking he covered health and science for a Manchester news agency and wrote for several consumer health titles. He is known in the newsroom for reading the full study before writing a single line. He is especially interested in the gap between headline breakthroughs and what patients can actually get from their GP. Daniel lives in south Manchester with his wife and two young children, and spends his weekends on the touchline of junior football.
